اصطلاحات انگلیسی؛ معنی و تمرین شنیداری
ممکن است همهٔ کلمه‌های یک اصطلاح را بشناسی، اما منظور گوینده را نفهمی. اول موقعیت را بشناس و بعد به عبارت کامل گوش بده.
اصطلاح انگلیسی چیست؟
اصطلاح یک عبارت ثابت است که معنی‌اش را نمی‌توان از جمع معنی تک‌تک کلمه‌هایش فهمید. مثلاً get your wires crossed یعنی دو نفر حرف هم را اشتباه فهمیده‌اند، نه اینکه سیم‌ها به هم خورده‌اند. MicroEnglish برای 86 اصطلاح درس دارد. معنی هر اصطلاح را به انگلیسی ساده می‌خوانی، آن را در فایل‌های کوتاه می‌شنوی و کلمه‌ها را می‌نویسی.
- هر درس با معنی اصطلاح در یک جمله و مثال‌های کاربردی شروع می‌شود.
- می‌بینی اصطلاح در چه موقعیتی مناسب است و چه لحنی به شنونده منتقل می‌کند.

معنی تک‌تک کلمه‌ها همیشه با موقعیت جور نیست. پیش از نتیجه‌گیری دربارهٔ معنی اصطلاح، ببین چه کسی حرف می‌زند و چه اتفاقی افتاده است.
