اصطلاحات انگلیسی؛ معنی و تمرین شنیداری
ممکن است همهٔ کلمههای یک اصطلاح را بشناسی، اما منظور گوینده را نفهمی. اول موقعیت را بشناس و بعد به عبارت کامل گوش بده.

چه چیزی را تمرین میکنی؟
اصطلاحی را که میخواهی بفهمی انتخاب کن. معنی و مثالهایش را بخوان و اولین دیکته را رایگان امتحان کن.
اصطلاح را در یک جملهٔ کامل تشخیص بده. بار اول پیام را بگیر؛ بار بعد به کلمههای اطراف اصطلاح گوش بده.

چرا شنیدنش دشوار است؟
به چه چیزی گوش بدهی؟
در گفتار، کلمهها میتوانند به هم بچسبند. اگر عبارت را در نوشته میشناسی اما در صدا نه، بخش کوتاهی را با متن مقایسه کن. بعد بدون نگاهکردن دوباره بشنو.
معنی تکتک کلمهها همیشه با موقعیت جور نیست. پیش از نتیجهگیری دربارهٔ معنی اصطلاح، ببین چه کسی حرف میزند و چه اتفاقی افتاده است.
