Listening exercises with “Count on”

.

To count on someone or something means to rely on or trust them – you believe they will do what you need or expect them to do.
We use this phrasal verb when we depend on someone or something, especially when it’s important to us. It shows that we trust and have confidence in that person or thing.

e.g. You can always count on Sarah to help when you’re in trouble.
e.g. I’m counting on you to be there on time – please don’t let me down.
e.g. We’re counting on good weather for the outdoor wedding.
