Find your English level
An adaptive test: each answer decides the next question. Choose 5, 10 or 30 minutes and get your CEFR level, from A1 to C2.
How the test works
Adaptive
Questions get easier or harder after each answer, so you spend your time on questions near your level.
Honest about certainty
You see your most likely level and how sure the test is. A short test gives a range, not a promise.
Different every time
Questions are chosen from a large bank, so a retake is a new test.
Private
Recordings are used only for your score and deleted after 14 days.

Questions
Is the test free?
Yes. The 5- and 10-minute tests need no account. The 30-minute test needs a free MicroEnglish account, so your result can be saved.
How accurate is it?
The 5-minute test usually lands within one level of your real level. The 30-minute test is more precise and adds a skills profile. Every result shows how sure it is.
Can I use the result for a job or a university?
Use it to choose lessons and to plan your study. It is an online estimate, not a certificate. For official proof of level, take a supervised exam.
Why is there a daily limit?
Taking the same test again and again teaches the test, not English. A few sittings a day are enough, and your latest result is the one that counts.
What happens to my recordings?
They are used to score your speaking and deleted after 14 days. Nobody else hears them.
