Quantity words describe numbers or amounts. Many, few, and a few go with plural countable nouns; much, little, and a little go with uncountable nouns. Few and little emphasize a small quantity, while a few and a little emphasize that some exists. Context tells you whether it is enough.

The office ordered many notebooks for the new staff members.
