Object pronouns receive an action. When someone reaches out to you, you are the recipient of that action, so the object pronoun me is standard. Reflexive pronouns such as myself normally point back to the subject of the same clause when the subject and the receiver are identical. In addition, myself can serve as an emphatic pronoun to highlight that you perform an action personally rather than delegating it.
