A concrete noun names anything with a physical presence or a sensory quality. The word concrete here does not mean building cement. It means that the item exists in the physical world rather than only as a thought, an emotion, or a general belief. Even things that you cannot hold, such as steam, thunder, or a cool breeze, are concrete nouns because your body perceives them through sight, hearing, or touch.
