I able to visualise with tables people in it, couldn't just like, "This !".
I have been able to visualise office with tables chairs and people in it, and I couldn't I was just like, "This a disaster!".

…so I was just like, “this is a disaster!”

The phrase I was like, he was like, she was like etc is a common and useful way of introducing direct speech (a quote). In informal conversation, this is often more natural than using reported speech, e.g. I said it was a disaster.
